PTCRB and GCF develop the certification programs based on the industry needs. The certification scheme is to make sure that the 2G (GSM), 3G (WCDMA) and 4G (LTE) devices comply with the 3GPP standards. PTCRB certification mainly focuses on the North America Bands, and GCF certification mainly verifies the devices working in the bands outside North America. They recognize one another’s certification testing data.
PTCRB and GCF certification programs are to verify the 2G (GSM), 3G (WCDMA) and 4G (LTE) devices, like smart phones and 2G/3G/4G data cards. They are complementary to all regulatory regimes with participation on a voluntary basis. Complete PTCRB and GCF certifications contain conformance test, radiated performance test (OTA), interoperability test, and field trial test.
Curtis-Straus can conduct PTCRB/GCF tests based on the following international standards.
