Identifying and executing the necessary EMC regulation testing for AV products is part of the Curtis-Straus testing scope.
Audio/Video (AV) products including TV, CF/VCD player, game console, video camera, and more are subject to different electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements by different governments.
The most popular safety standards applied to AV products are the 60065 series. Today, continuously less distinction exists between AV and information technology equipment (ITE) product categories. As a result, in 2010 the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) published a fresh standard, IEC 62368-1 that is intended to replace the standards covering the two categories in the future.
AV products shall be subject to the following testing and certification according to each country’s regulations.
