February 2018: Curtis-Straus LLC, A Bureau Veritas Company, is pleased to announce they have been recognized by IFT (Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones), the Mexican regulatory authority organization, as the first third-party testing laboratory in the United States to assess the conformity of telecommunications equipment to applicable technical regulations.

The Mutual Recognition Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the United Mexican States for Conformity Assessment of Telecommunications Equipment was signed on May 26, 2011 and was implemented by the United States on September 26, 2017. (Click to view) The Agreement provides the opportunity for the mutual recognition of testing laboratories and for the mutual acceptance of the results of testing undertaken by a recognized testing laboratories in assessing conformity of equipment to applicable technical regulations.

Curtis-Straus has been recognized by IFT to test the following telecommunications equipment: NOM-084-STC1-2002; NOM-088/1-SCT1-2002; NOM-088/2-SCT1-2002; NOM-208-SCFI-2016; IFT-008-2015.
